The Voluntary Carbon Market Dashboard
The Voluntary Carbon Market Dashboard
Voluntary carbon markets are poised to play an important role in accelerating the transition to a climate neutral global economy. With this, transparency around key market indicators – such as offset issuance data, trends in new project type registrations, and new regional developments – is imperative to allow the market to mature and scale.
The Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM) Dashboard is a Climate Focus initiative aiming to provide corporates, investors and project developers consolidated data on relevant carbon market metrics, as reported by the leading carbon standards. The dashboard keeps track of market development indicators for leading voluntary carbon standards, including Verra’s VCS, the Gold Standard’s SustainCert, the American Carbon Registry, and the Climate Action Reserve.
By means of custom visuals that allow users to dive deeper into the initial results and filter through market data by year, carbon standard, geographic location, or project type, this tool provides access to timely market intelligence. The data is sourced from the databases maintained by the covered carbon standards directly, and is updated by our team at the start of each month.
We invite you to take a look, and welcome your suggestions for improvements as we go along!
