Guide to Communicating Carbon Pricing

Guide to Communicating Carbon Pricing

At COP24, the Partnership for Market Readiness and the Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition released the Guide to Communicating Carbon Pricing. The full Guide is accompanied by two shorter briefing notes tailored specifically for government and business audiences.

Some of the Guide’s key messages include: 1) Emphasizing non-climate benefits may be preferable to focusing on climate change; 2) Visible use of carbon price revenues is often key; and, 3) Good communications are built around values.

Watch the lead authors, George Marshall, Co-Founder and Director of Projects, Climate Outreach, and Darragh Conway, Senior Legal Consultant at Climate Focus, discuss what they learned in researching and writing the Guide at the launch of the publication at COP24 in Katowice.

You can join an Interactive Webinar with with the lead authors, George Marshall and Darragh Conway on 29 January 2019. The authors will present the key findings from the report. There will then be an opportunity to ask questions and further discuss what makes successful communication on carbon pricing.
