Erin D. Matson
Erin D. Matson is a senior consultant at Climate Focus.
Her work focuses on sustainable supply chains, climate and forest policy analysis, sustainability in extractive industries and infrastructure, and jurisdictional forest and climate programs. She serves as coordinator for the annual progress assessment of the New York Declaration on Forests, a collaborative effort by 28 research organizations and NGOs to measure progress towards its ten goals.
Prior to joining Climate Focus, Erin designed and implemented alternative business models for sustainable urban agriculture as a farmer and educator in Chicago. Erin holds an MA degree (Global Environmental Policy) from the School of International Service at American University and a BA degree (South Asian Languages and Civilizations) from the University of Chicago. As an undergraduate she pursued language study with the American Institute of Indian Studies in Jaipur and Chandigarh, India. To relax, Erin enjoys dancing, baking, and traveling, and is newly getting into running.
