Imogen Long

Imogen is a consultant at Climate Focus, where she works primarily on topics relating to climate finance, carbon markets and sustainable land use. 

With a background in Psychology, Imogen's core interests lie at the intersection between human behaviour and environmental change. At Climate Focus she conducts research and provides advisory services on climate change mitigation to a range of governments, multilateral institutions and private sector clients. Imogen has a particular interest in climate change mitigation in the agriculture, forestry and land use sectors. Her current work focuses on climate finance in the context of nature-based solutions.

She is also an annual contributor to Climate Focus’ progress assessments of the ten goals of New York Declaration on Forests. In addition, Imogen has experience with sustainability reporting & disclosure. Prior to joining the company, she worked for an environmental think-tank, Global Canopy in Oxford, England. Here she focused on the impact of soft commodity supply chain deforestation policies in the corporate and financial sectors.

Imogen holds a BSc in Psychology from Sussex University, England, and an MSc in Environmental Sustainability from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. She is happiest when hiking and camping in the mountains. Otherwise, you will find her doing yoga, or experimenting in the kitchen.
